Cute Crafts: Coffee Filter Flowers
Cupcake liner flowers are all the rage right now, but I don't have any. As a caffeine addict, what I do have are coffee filters! We've been exploring with watercolors at the library because the children love to paint, but tempera takes too long to dry.
These beautiful flowers are so easy to make. Make a circle with a glue stick toward the top of the paper. Use watercolors to paint a stem, leaves and grass. The fun part is making the petals. All you need to do is paint a line of each color. The colors bleed. Top off with a tissue paper center.

Flannel Friday: Flowers and Worms
Each storytime, we have a matching game. Usually, I hand out replicas of the flannel I put on the board. These Ellison die-cuts were too fragile, though. So, I used the worm die to match.
In a sing-song voice I say, "Who has the __________ that looks like this?"
