I glued a piece of white construction paper to a rice box to make it thicker. Bobo sprinkled powder tempera paint all over the paper. He used red and yellow.
Then, he used a feather to spread the paint.
We put the project in the rain. The raindrops splashed a mix of colors all over the paper. The middle where he overlapped the colors turned a brilliant orange. This was a fun, simple project. Best of all, it enticed us outside in cold, yucky weather. We both had a great time without rainy day blues.
What a great collections of kids activities! You are brilliant!
ReplyDeleteAww, thanks! I have as much fun as the little ones!
DeleteThis is beautiful! Love the process
ReplyDeleteLove the rain painting! I love how the colors overlapped too. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant idea! I've never seen this done before. It's not very often I see an art project I haven't seen. Your blog is so much fun. I've got to do some digging through it to find some fun things to do with my little ones.

ReplyDeletePowder tempera paint is so versatile. I keep coming up with more and more to do with it. I've got another messy, outside fun game planned...
