Cute Crafts: Coffee Filter Flowers
Cupcake liner flowers are all the rage right now, but I don't have any. As a caffeine addict, what I do have are coffee filters! We've been exploring with watercolors at the library because the children love to paint, but tempera takes too long to dry.
These beautiful flowers are so easy to make. Make a circle with a glue stick toward the top of the paper. Use watercolors to paint a stem, leaves and grass. The fun part is making the petals. All you need to do is paint a line of each color. The colors bleed. Top off with a tissue paper center.

I love that you used coffee filters instead of cupcake liners. The bigger size is perfect for little hands to decorate! Although, we have never made cupcake liner flowers, coffee filter liners may need to be in order! Thanks for stopping at Adventures in Reading with Kids!
ReplyDeleteLinking this up on my post for the book A Garden of Opposites tomorrow. Thanks for the great idea!
